The project

Envisioned as a quiet retreat in the heart of the city, this home for a Parsi couple is warm, understated and deeply personal. A restrained palette of ivory, warm neutrals, natural textures and timber creates a calm backdrop for a collection of pieces that carry their own history.

Some of the couple’s existing furniture was thoughtfully reused and repurposed, allowing familiar forms and memories to find a new place within the home. Contemporary upholstery, tactile fabrics, sculptural lighting and carefully chosen art sit alongside these older pieces, creating an easy dialogue between the old and the new.

Rather than relying on overt gestures, the design finds its richness in materiality, proportion and the layering of pieces with meaning. The result is a comfortable, timeless home that feels collected over time rather than newly assembled.
